![]() Principal: Joyce Lyster ![]() St Felix Primary School is located in Bankstown, a southwestern suburb of Sydney. We belong to St Felix de Valois parish and work closely with the parish priest, Fr Thomas Kurunthanam, to assist parents in the education of their children. St Felix is a two-stream school with 419 students from very diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. We have a slice of the world in our school and truly appreciate and celebrate our differences and similarities. Currently we have 40 members of staff including Executive Teachers, Class Teachers, Teacher-Librarian, Special Education, ESL, Reading Recovery, Sports, Music and Gifted & Talented Teachers, together with school support staff. Within a happy, welcoming and Christ-centred environment we strive to nurture the development of the “whole child”. Our dedicated and very supportive staff co-operatively plan and program together to cater effectively for individual needs so that all children can experience success and personal excellence in their learning. Due to our large NESB student population there is a strong emphasis on literacy and the language demands across all Key Learning Areas. The parent group of our school is supportive and most appreciative of the dedication of staff. There are parent helpers who assist in classrooms, the canteen and with fundraising activities. St Felix is a happy and caring school where students feel welcomed and all staff members feel valued. It is truly a privilege to teach at St Felix Primary, Bankstown. |
