St Brendan’s is a spirited, celebrating parish school community. At the centre of this community is Christ and His message of love for one another.

The school has been educating local students for more than 50 years, and is founded on the Josephite tradition, with the visions and dreams of Blessed Mary MacKillop interwoven into the school’s very essence.

As a school community, we are committed to living Christ’s message of service. As a teaching community, we are committed to excellence and providing a quality eduction for all our students by catering to their diverse needs. We strive to develop confident and competent learners, who are tolerant of others and are willing to challenge injustice. Our curriculum and learning environment allow students to develop skills which help them make informed choices as they respond to all that life offers.

At least 94 per cent of students identify with non-English speaking backgrounds. This, of course, has a great influence on the development and implementation of curriculum in the school, resulting in a language focus across all Key Learning Areas.

Currently there are approximately 40 members of staff including Executive teachers, class teachers, Teacher–Librarian, Special Education, ESL, Bi-Lingual, Reading Recovery, Intensive Reading and school support staff. Recent refurbishments have provided a welcoming environment offering bright modern facilities with all classrooms accessing both the Intra and Internet. Students and staff have access through the new refurbished library to up-to-date technology and resources.
