Christ The King is a small Catholic school embedded within the parish of Christ The King: Bass Hill. It is a one-stream school and has a current enrolment of 206 students. The school is part of a vibrant, dynamic parish with which it enjoys a close and cordial relationship. The atmosphere of the school is peaceful and friendly. We all know one another and we work cooperatively to make our school a happy place.
Literacy, Numeracy and Technology all have a strong focus. There are computers in each classroom and two computer labs. The school has comprehensive Internet and Intranet sites, which are continually being updated. A large range of support and interest programs is provided.
Specialist teachers form an important part of the school teaching team. These include Reading Recovery, ESL, Sport, Music, Gifted & Talented and Technology. Parents are actively involved in the school in Parent Helper Programs, Inservices and Parent forums, preparation for celebrations, working bees etc. Completion of a new building which incorporates library, administration and staff facilities is anticipated during the second half of 2004.
Each member of the community of Christ the King is encouraged to contribute, participate and be the best person they can be.
