Patrician Brothers’ Primary School, Fairfield is a boys’ school for Years 5 and 6 which serves the local parishes of Fairfield, Cabramatta and Smithfield. The school was founded in 1953 by the Patrician Brothers’ Congregation, and continues to be administered by the Brothers.

The school consists of twelve classes: six Year 5 classes and six Year 6 classes. There are approximately 360 students in the school and approximately 32 staff members, teaching and support staff.

Fairfield is an exciting place to teach, rich in multiculturalism and diversity. The student’s are drawn from more than 50 ethnic backgrounds. The major ethnic groups are Vietnamese, Spanish, Filipino, Arabic and Chinese. Approximately 91% of the student population comes from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Patrician Brothers’ Primary provides as best it can for the needs of the students. Whilst academic pursuits are the most highly valued, the school recognises the importance of sporting and extra-curricular activities that promote the development of the whole person. There are a variety of programs in the school, which cater for those with Special Needs, the Gifted and Talented and the many other learning styles and interests that students of this age have. The school continues to implement strategies, to address the specific educational needs of boys.

There is a tremendous spirit evident at our school and this is displayed and appreciated by students, staff, parents and priests. The charism of the Patrician Brothers is alive and well here. Christ is central to all that occurs in the school.

Patrician Brothers’ Primary is a school where a teacher’s effort and commitment are recognised, appreciated and valued, and where a teacher can make a real difference in a student’s life.
