St Francis Xavier’s, Lurnea, is located in the southwestern area of Sydney around two minutes from the M5 Liverpool exit.
The school has approximately 400 students across 14 class groups (2 streams). We have a staff of 30, comprising 16 full-time teachers, nine part-time teachers and five ancillary staff.
Our staff are renowned for their warm, welcoming manner and collegial support. They demonstrate a keen interest in professional development, with strong support for the school’s Teacher Development Program.
St Francis Xavier’s is also recognised for its strong commitment to children with special needs, specifically those with learning difficulties. A new Extension and Enrichment program has also been implemented for Gifted and Talented students from Years 2 to 6.
The school is supported by a very active parent group, and enjoys a close working relationship with the parish. Our church is also a multi-purpose centre and is used extensively by the school community for liturgies, assemblies, celebrations and social activities.
