St Therese Primary School Sadleir-Miller is a two stream K – 6 school in south western Sydney, just five minutes from Liverpool. The school was established in 1967 under the leadership of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart. From the early days the school has always been known as a friendly and welcoming place. In the words of one of our pioneers of the parish; “It’s like being part of one big family”.

The school has an enrolment of around 370 students. Many of our parents attended St Therese School and have chosen to continue the family tradition by sending their children here, even though they travel from other suburbs. Grandparents and parishioners are active in the life of the school. The family atmosphere of our school continues to be a strength.

A major refurbishment and building project has left us with outstanding facilities including state-of-the-art technology, inviting teaching spaces, pleasant passive play areas featuring extensive paving, raised garden beds and shade sails, basketball courts, large grassy playing fields and an adventure playground with sounds of cockatoos and the smell of eucalyptus in the air.

The students and parents at our school are very appreciative of the work of teachers. As a parent recently said to me, “I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else. My kids love their teachers and I know the teachers love the kids too.”

Our staff is a combination of experienced and beginning teachers who work in stage and grade teams to learn from and support each other, share the excitement of the day, enjoy each other’s company, and celebrate their faith in the lived experience of the Gospel. Specialist programs include Reading Recovery, ESL, Special Education, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and High Achiever Art Program.

Our school is a great place to work. I look forward to telling you more about our school when you apply for one of our teaching positions.
