Energetic, enterprising, eventful, evangelical, enlightening, exciting! St Gertrude’s Primary School is all of the above and much more.

Educating local students for more than 50 years, the school is founded on the Benedictine tradition, with the visions and dreams of Blessed Mary MacKillop interwoven into the fabric of the school.

We have around 700 students organised in four streams K–4 and two streams in Years 5 and 6. Our boys leave at the end of Year 4 to attend Patrician Brothers’ Primary School at Fairfield.

We have 50 talented and caring staff members including class teachers and a resource team of two ESL, two Special Education and an Information Technology teacher, as well as administrative staff, canteen and maintenance staff and the School Executive.

Through meaningful assessment, evaluation and reporting processes, we are continuing to develop an innovative curriculum that caters for the needs of all students. Our Professional Development is intensive, current, creative and fun. We joyfully celebrate the successes of all members of the school community and work in partnership to achieve proficiency in all areas.

St Gertrude’s is continually energised and evolving due to the valuable interaction of students, staff, parents and the local parish community.
