Welcome to Freeman Catholic College. Freeman is a 7-12 co-educational College situated in Bonnyrigg Heights. We have a student population of 1200 and a teaching and support staff of 114. As the College Principal, I am obviously biased, but I believe Freeman is a GREAT school. It is a wonderful place to teach and an exciting place to learn.
Our vision is simple. The College staff makes a commitment to set high standards and to challenge, encourage and motivate students to achieve their personal best. We have a clear focus on academic achievement, and last year’s School Certificate and Higher School Certificate results were outstanding.
The great strength of Freeman is the students. They are a well-mannered, friendly and cooperative group. They have a wonderful rapport with their teachers. The average age of the Freeman staff is 32. As a young staff, they bring great energy, life and enthusiasm to the staff room and classrooms.
Freeman has a large number of ex-students entering the teaching profession. It is an indication of the spirit and relationship that exist between staff and students. Eight students from the 2001 HSC class and sixteen from the 2002 class are currently studying for a Teaching Degree.
