Patrician Brothers’ College, Fairfield is a Secondary boys’ school educating approximately 1100 young men. There are 78 full-time/part-time teaching staff. The College provides an education from Years 7 to 12 for students in surrounding parishes of Villawood, Fairfield, Cabramatta, Smithfield, Bossley Park and Horsley Park. In 2003, the community celebrates 50 years of Patrician education in the district.

An extensive range of courses is offered, catering for all levels of student interest and ability. Our proximity to TAFE colleges in the district gives boys the opportunity to access a wide range of TAFE Vocational Education and Training (VET) course programs. These programs provide students with opportunities to complete subjects from mainstream courses as part of their HSC studies. The College also offers special support to students who have specific learning needs. These students are catered for in a number of special learning programs. The College offers comprehensive programs in Special Education, English as a Second Language, Literacy, and Gifted and Talented.

The College seeks to produce confident boys with positive attitudes to education, their peers, parents and teachers. Boys are encouraged to develop a strong sense of loyalty and belonging to the College and enjoy the respect of the community at large.

The boys of Patrician Brothers’ College, Fairfield provide the community with its richest resource. They are open, friendly, welcoming and disarmingly honest. The high cultural mix has provided the College with a constant source of enrichment. The major language groups after English are Vietnamese, Spanish, Italian and Arabic, 85 per cent of the student population is from non-English speaking backgrounds.

Patrician Brothers’ Fairfield strongly endorses a faith development program, which is worked through in the context of the parish. The College does not describe itself so much as a community but more as a large family of faith, which is an active ministry of each parish.
