Good Samaritan Catholic College is a newly established College in Sydney's Southwest. The College began in 1999 with 99 students and the first cohort will sit for the HSC in 2004. It is with great excitement that this milestone will be reached and the college population completed.

The College is in a rapidly growing and changing sector of Sydney, located close to the M5 as well as the Western Sydney Orbital, which is presently being constructed. These two transport links will allow easy access from all parts of Sydney.

Since its inception the College has grown at a rapid rate in terms of staff and student numbers and physical structure. Throughout this growth there has always been and will continue to be an emphasis on relationships and the Catholic nature of the College.

With the continued growth and development of the College there are many opportunities for staff to be involved in College life as well as the establishment of traditions and directions. This College offers an exciting challenge to staff in developing the spiritual, curricular and extra-curricular directions we will take in the future. These challenges are great and rewards are substantial.

The College also offers a broad curriculum, which enables teachers to have opportunities to teach in many areas to broaden their expertise. Added to the broad curriculum are the facilities offered at the College, which are modern and new. The latest additions are specialist blocks related to TAS and Creative Arts. These facilities enable us to meet the needs of students in all courses including Vocational Education. This provided students with greater opportunities to perform well in a wide range of subjects.

Good Samaritan Catholic College offers teachers a great range of opportunities and encourages involvement in all areas of school life.
