The Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Broken Bay supports the work of school principals and staff, parents and Parish priests in providing quality education to students from Kindergarten to Year 12 living in the northern suburbs of Sydney and the Central Coast of New South Wales.
Applications are invited for the following position:
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT
The Diocese of Broken Bay stretches from Willoughby on Sydney's lower North Shore to Lake Munmorah on the Central Coast and along the Northern Beaches and comprises 43 Schools (36 Catholic primary and 7 Catholic high schools) and approximately 16,000 students. The Catholic Schools Office Broken Bay has recently completed an organisational review. To further enhance the performance of an already highly performing school system, the Director of Schools is seeking to appoint an Assistant Director, School Improvement.
The successful appointee will support the Director in providing strategic leadership to achieve mission, improve schools and build greater cohesion within the Diocesan Schools System and across related diocesan agencies.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
• An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic schools within the Diocese;
• Senior leadership and management experience in leading teaching and learning, such as principalship or leadership in a Catholic education office;
• Capability to work collaboratively and to lead school improvement within a K-12 curriculum context;
• Capability of working within a service organisation and providing leadership at strategic and operational levels;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills;
• Relevant post-graduate qualifications.
