There are fifteen Catholic schools in the diocese, enrolling about 5000 students from pre-school to Year 12, and beyond in vocational training programs. There are about 600 staff working in NT Catholic schools.

Applications are invited for the following position

EDUCATION OFFICER- NATIONAL PROJECTS

Applications are sought from appropriately qualified, committed and experienced educators who are interested in working in a professionally dynamic environment. This position is a twelve month contract commencing in January 2010.

The Education Officer for National Projects will be responsible for the management and implementation of the following National Projects in our urban and Indigenous Catholic Community Schools:

• Strong Foundations,
• Principals as Literacy Leaders (PALL) and
• Leading Aligned Numeracy Development (LAND).

The role includes supporting leadership teams and school staff with the ongoing implementation of the Catholic Education School Improvement and Renewal Framework.
