St John the Baptist Catholic School, Woy Woy commenced operations in 1922 and was conducted by the Sisters of St Joseph until 1992. The school originally occupied rooms alongside the Church, but due to increasing numbers the school was moved to its present site in 1979. The school is situated on NSW’s Central Coast and has a current enrolment of 347 students.
The school’s vision is to be “a place of dignity and high expectations, where the presence of God prevails”. The school aims for all students to achieve their full potential - spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically in a positive, secure and safe environment.

SPECIFIC CRITERIA
• Ability to cater for the diverse needs of learners in an active classroom
• Good communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team
• An ability to integrate ICLT into the learning and teaching program
• Demonstrated understanding of contemporary and effective pedagogies
• Effective classroom teacher with an excellent understanding of literacy for the 21st century learner
• Proven ability in understanding and implementing formative and summative assessment practices to drive the learning process for all students
