Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School, Terrigal was established in 1979 originally situated close to the heart of Terrigal opposite the Skillion on NSW’s Central Coast. The site restricted the expansion of the school and thus the school has been recently relocated to a new site is in a rural valley setting about three kilometres away from Terrigal. The school has a current enrolment of 442 students.

At Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School Terrigal, with Mary as our model, we celebrate our Catholic identity and foster a sense of belonging in our community as we educate our children to grow in the love of Christ.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced teachers who are committed to the ethos of the Catholic School and to excellence in teaching and learning for the following position:

Classroom Teacher temporary part-time 0.5FTE for 2010 school year

SPECIFIC CRITERIA
• A working knowledge of Quality Teaching
• Ability to plan and work in a team
• Flexibility to work in a variety of situations
• Good communication skills
• Strong understanding of current Literacy/Numeracy teaching strategies
