Applications are sought for the position of
TEACHER - Temp 0.5 FTE (1/2 Day x 5 per week)
The successful applicant will need:
• A knowledge of and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School
• Religious Education qualifications according to SACS Board Policy
• A high standard of competency and proficiency as a teacher
• The ability to engage in cooperative planning with team members and classroom teachers
• High standard of professionalism and high expectations for student learning
• Experience and qualifications in Special Education are highly desirable
• An understanding of the Disability Standards of Education essential
• Highly developed skills in the teaching of students with special leaning needs
• An understanding of individual programming for students and the documentation covering government and system requirements (funding, validation of students etc)
• The ability to network with outside agencies, advisors and parents
• Working interest and knowledge of technology and learning
• To comply with Child Protection Legislation requirements
The successful applicant will be working with a small group of students with a specific disability
