St Paul’s College is looking for a highly motivated, proactive Social Worker/Counsellor to work predominantly in the Primary Years (Reception to Year 6) and as part of the Counselling Services Team (Reception to Year 12) with a focus on facilitating groups and individualised support in Primary Years.

The successful applicant will understand and model protective practices and safeguarding. </p><p>The successful candidate will join a close-knit community and passionate team, committed to holistic student improvement and collaborative practice. </p><p>This position is a set roster of 37.5 hours per week, working 45 weeks of the year. </p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant needs to:<br /></p><p>· Hold an appropriate Tertiary qualification and the capacity to register with a relevant association (AASW, PACFA etc.) </p><p>· Experience in trauma-based practice and support </p><p>· Experience working in education or clinical setting </p><p>· A demonstrated ability to collaborate in a dynamic and flexible learning environment </p><p>· Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills in developing positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader community </p><p>· Demonstrate pastoral care of all students and support them in developing personal responsibility </p><p>· Actively support and contribute to the St Paul’s College, as a Catholic College in the Edmund Rice Tradition, embodied within the College’s values of Faith, Relationships, Excellence and Diversity </p><p>· An understanding of the AASW, and/or PACFA Code of Ethics </p><p>· Demonstrated understanding of the policies and procedures that guide the effective management of critical incidents in school communities </p><p>· Experience of relationships with external agencies supporting the wellbeing of young people </p><p>· Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision within a team environment </p><p>All applications are to be submitted via the St Paul&#39;s College website.
