Loreto Toorak seeks an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer to work our teachers in assisting students that have a variety of individual learning needs. Support will focus on senior school students, in particular Year 10. This role is offered as a full time position for Terms 3 and 4, 2024.

Support will focus on senior school students, in particular Year 10. This role is offered as a full time position for Terms 3 and 4, 2024. </p><p>Responsibilities of the role will include: </p><ul><li>Assist the Teacher to develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs </li><li>In consultation with Teachers and Head of Learning Diversity employ a variety of strategies to effectively implement the curriculum </li><li>Arrange appropriate amount of time for lesson preparation and organisation as requested </li><li>Be familiar with the standards of professional practice as articulated in the Australian Standards of Teaching and the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria (CECV), where appropriate </li><li>Embrace the use of Information and Communications Technologies </li><li>Provide meaningful and timely feedback to parents, through approved communication channels </li><li>Ensure compliance with OH&amp;S Policy and Procedures </li><li>Maintain excellent communication and relationships with students and staff </li><li>Liaise with appropriate support staff, where appropriate, in the implementation of the curriculum – e.g. Learning Diversity department, Library staff </li></ul><p><b>About You </b></p><p>To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have: </p><ul><li>Experience working as an Integration Aide/Classroom Assistant/Learning Support Officer </li><li>Experience supporting senior school students with individual learning needs </li><li>Ability to build, establish and maintain relationships </li><li>A collaborative approach with colleagues </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills </li><li>Demonstrated desire to apply a growth mindset to professional development. </li><li>Commitment to actively participate in the co-curricular and pastoral activities of the School </li><li>A current Working with Children Check (employee) </li><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded </li></ul><p><b>Why work at Loreto Toorak? </b></p><p>Joining Loreto Toorak means joining a supportive, inclusive and collaborative community.
