<p><b>About the College </b></p><p>Marist College Eastwood has seen an increase in enrolment in the last five years. With an increased cohort, a broader subject selection and therefore the creation of more teaching and learning roles, the College is preparing for an innovative future. </p><p>Through collaborative work and community consultation the Marist College Eastwood Strategic Implementation Plan was developed. With a deliberate focus on student achievement, teaching and learning methodology, school wellbeing, faith development and school resourcing programs, we aspire to attract candidates who will help bring about for our students<i> A Daring Faith and Dynamic Education Developing Strong Minds and Gentle Hearts. </i></p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria </b></p><p>The successful applicant will be a highly effective teacher who demonstrates the following: </p><ul><li>Commitment to the Catholic Church and a strong sense of faith. </li><li>Have a capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools. </li><li>Qualified and experienced to teach HSIE and Religious Education subjects. Be willing to undertake postgraduate study in Religious Education, if required. </li><li>Be able to demonstrate differentiated pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning. </li><li>Be willing to undertake continued professional development and faith formation. </li><li>Has a willingness to assist and lead students in extracurricular activities like performance and exhibitions. </li><li>Support the College’s scholastic initiatives and promote its innovation in light of the Strategic Plan. </li><li>Be prepared to undertake leadership mentoring and training from peers and develop and demonstrate strong professional relationships with colleagues. </li></ul><p><b>You will have attained: </b></p><ul><li>a Tertiary qualification in Education </li><li>active accreditation with NSW Standards Authority (NESA) </li><li>religious education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach and Lead in SCS. </li><li>an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS. </li></ul><p><b>Application Process: </b></p><p>Please submit the following via email to Ms Silvana Rossetti, College Principal, by no later than 3.00pm on Wednesday 22 May 2024 to principal&#64;maristeastwood.catholic.edu.au; </p><ul><li>a cover letter </li><li>your current CV showcasing your educational experience </li><li>contact details of three referees, including your current employer/principal, your last principal (if applicable). </li></ul><p>The application letter will need to reflect the key selection criteria for the position.
