We are seeking a passionate, dynamic and committed leader to join our Business Operations team. From budget to strategic financial management, you’ll be integral to our fiscal success. The full-time, ongoing position offers the opportunity to have responsibilities in the areas of Payroll, Finance and Administration.

<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our College in the newly formed position of Assistant Business Manager.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong><br /> </p><ul><li>Manage the College’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting</li><li>Prepare finance reports as required by Statutory Authorities</li><li>Prepare and submit all returns required by the Australian Taxation Office, including FBT and GST</li><li>Oversee the accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processes</li><li>Collaborate with learning area leaders and department heads to develop and monitor budgets</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and accounting standards</li><li>Lead and manage staff in the finance and administration teams</li><li>Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical behavior in all finance activities</li></ul><p><strong>Salary</strong></p><p>The salary range $105,132  - $116,057 will be based on experience in accordance with the pay scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).</p><p><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will have the following key attributes:</p><ul><li>Proven experience in financial management, preferably in an educational setting</li><li>Knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting</li><li>Strong analytical skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Demonstrate a strong understanding of, and commitment to Catholic Education</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field</li><li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the finance sector and leadership experience preferred</li><li>Able to gain and keep a successful registration for a Working with Children Check and successfully passes a National Police Record History Check</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable</strong></p><ul><li>Prior experienced in a secondary school setting</li><li>Prior use and understanding of Synergetic</li><li>Post Graduate Business and/or education qualifications such a CA, CPA, MBA</li></ul><p><strong>What we offer</strong></p><ul><li>Permanent, ongoing position</li><li>7 weeks annual leave in accordance with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (Education Support Officer Category C provisions)</li><li>Attractive base salary plus superannuation </li></ul><p><strong>To apply for this position</strong></p><p>Please email your application by <strong>Monday 20 May 2024 </strong>at 10.00am to <strong>employment&#64;thomascarr.vic.edu.au</strong> including your resume, a cover letter addressing the key criteria listed in the Position Description and the names of 3 referees as well as a completed <strong> Staff Application Form </strong>located in the &#39;Our College - Employment Opportunities&#39; section of the College website.</p><p>Our College community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
