Australian Volunteers International is Australia's largest and most experienced international volunteer sending agency. Every year, we recruit, prepare and support hundreds of Australians who volunteer to live alongside people of other cultures and work towards the sustainable development of communities.

Our work is aimed at creating a peaceful and just world through greater cross-cultural understanding. It is built on an ethos of partnership, teamwork and consultation.

In the last 50 years we have placed more than 6000 Australian Volunteers in 70 countries in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

Education Sector - Volunteers

Australian Volunteers International (AVI) has exciting overseas assignments available for Australians with skills in education and training.

Assignments in education vary widely, and include:

 Multiple English Language Teaching, Teacher Training and Curriculum Development roles in China, Viet Nam, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia;
 IT Lecturer in Viet Nam;
 Teacher in Special Education and Teacher of English and Tourism in Viet Nam;
 Multiple Senior Secondary English Teaching and Teacher Training roles in PNG and Kiribati;
 English Teacher and Translator in Indonesia;

AVI works in several countries in Asia, the Pacific, Africa and the Middle East. AVI volunteers work in partnership with local people and organisations. Their skills and knowledge contribute to reducing poverty, building cross-cultural relationships and supporting sustainable development.
