<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Team Leader: Payroll Services manages a small team of payroll officers who deliver service to CSO and school staff which is of the highest quality, is legislatively compliant and fulfils external audit requirements.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Job tasks and responsibilities</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>developing and implementing efficient systems to support optimum service delivery standards;</li> <li>developing and implementing contingency plans in order to minimise risk in areas such as data security;</li> <li>ensuring payroll processing is compliant with relevant legislation, Awards and other industrial instruments;</li> <li>ensuring, in collaboration with the Head of Human Resource Services, that payroll services are aligned to organisational requirements;</li> <li>satisfying the requirements of all staff within the parameters of organisational policy;</li> <li>representing the organisation payroll needs on inter diocesan working parties;</li> <li>managing the payroll officers within the payroll services team.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Essential skills and experience</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Personal commitment to the Catholic life, Mission and objectives of the CSO;</li> <li>At least 5 years&rsquo; experience managing a payroll team;</li> <li>Experience working with Oracle (PeopleSoft Global Payroll);</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in streamlining payroll processes and the development of associated documentation;</li> <li>Good knowledge of payroll processing/balancing/authorisation; tax; superannuation; worker&rsquo;s compensation payments; leave management; salary packaging;</li> <li>Ability to interpret awards and other industrial instruments;</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in policy and procedure development; and</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><span>&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span><span style="color: black; font-size: 10pt;">To apply for this vacancy complete the attached application form and email with a cover letter addressing the essential skills and experience for the role and an up to date resume to <a href="mailto:hr@dbb.catholic.edu.au"><span style="color: #0000ff;">hr@dbb.catholic.edu.au</span></a>&nbsp;</span></span></p>
