The Finance Officer is a valued member of the leadership team and plays a significant role in the day to day running of the School.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;">Applicants must be supportive of the Lutheran ethos of the school and enjoy working with all members of the school community.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>The Position</strong>: Finance Officer</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Organisational Relationship:</strong> Principal</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Employment Basis: </strong>Permanent/Part Time,</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: small;">22.5 hours a week over 3 or 4 days (negotiable).</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">46 weeks per year.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">A six month probation period applies.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Commencement: 26 March, 2018 (negotiable)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Salary in accordance with the Lutheran School Officer Awards as in the <em>Lutheran Schools SA Enterprise Agreement 2015.</em></span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: small;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong>Key Selection Criteria</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: small;">An active Christian faith and a willingness to uphold the ethos of the Lutheran Church of Australia.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Formal business/commerce qualifications at a tertiary level and/or CPA/CA qualifications</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Good communication skills, verbal and written</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Thorough understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Strong business acumen and the ability to negotiate business outcomes for the School</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">A high degree of competence in organisational matters related to supervising building projects and related activities</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">A high level of proficiency in Information Technology including Microsoft Excel</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Awareness of contemporary issues and practices in financial administration, particularly in the context of management of a non-government school</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">Understanding of Church, State and Commonwealth requirements for the financial management of a non-government school</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: small;">A current working with children&rsquo;s check or ability to gain one</span></li> </ul>
