This includes providing leadership and encouraging a professional culture of improved service for the department.&nbsp;</p> <p class="Body" align="left">&nbsp;</p> <p class="Body" align="left">This will be a teaching opportunity in the Adaptive Education area during Term 2, and a Leadership opportunity from Term 3 onwards.</p> <p class="Body" align="left">&nbsp;</p> <p class="Body" align="left">All teaching staff are expected to continually engage in professional learning and development to improve teaching knowledge and practices. All work is to be performed in accordance with Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) professional standards.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Create and maintain a supportive Adaptive Education learning environment with appropriate curriculum and methodology to promote the development of students who are empowered, positive, have improving social skills and are independent learners.</li> <li>Ensure the successful identification, transition and integration of students with learning support needs into life at the College.</li> <li>Provide effective advice and assistance to stakeholders on EALD, Indigenous Education, and tutoring.</li> <li>Actively promote the key elements of the Vision for Learning and Endeavour Way, and work to embed the Vision for Learning within learning area programs.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist them build up a body of appropriate resources and plans, implement the adapted curriculum, and provide support by working with students in small groups or individually, either in the classroom or another setting.</li> <li>Communicate regularly to staff, providing updated information about students and best practice methodologies to support students in an inclusive classroom.</li> <li>Lead professional learning within the faculty, in consultation with the Deputy Principal and Director of Learning, and assist staff in the development of their professional knowledge and skills.</li> <li>Set a personal example in pedagogical excellence, professional attitudes, and growth.</li> <li>Demonstrate subject matter expertise and provide mentoring and guidance to other faculty members.</li> <li>Supervise the work of teacher, Lutheran School Officers and/or volunteers assigned to the faculty.</li> <li>Keep updated on educational trends and developments in the field through membership of relevant associations, professional development sessions, and research with the aim to improve Adaptive Education provisions offered at Endeavour College.</li> <li>Prepare, disseminate, monitor and maintain Independent Learning Plans (ILPs) for students as appropriate.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>This&nbsp;position&nbsp;requires a suitably qualified and motivated individual, with a passion for&nbsp;working with and supporting young people who require some additional support on their journey through secondary education.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>All applications should be submitted through the Employment page on Endeavour College's website (at www.endeavour.sa.edu.au/jobs) using the online application form,&nbsp;addressed to Ms Heather Vogt, Principal and include:</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Cover letter</li> <li>Resume</li> <li>SA Teacher Registration Number</li> <li>3 referees (2 professional including your current employer &amp; 1 pastoral)</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Applications close 9am on Monday 30 April 2018&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> </div> <p>Endeavour College values staff who enthusiastically engage in their work as a Christian vocation that is based on caring relationships with students and staff.&nbsp; All staff are expected to participate in the school's extracurricular program.
