<p>Lutheran School Wagga Wagga is a co-educational K-6 School with a strong focus on students reaching their potential in a Christ-centred environment. The current enrolment is 333 students across 14 classes. In an increasingly competitive schooling environment, it has an excellent reputation for learning results. </p><p>Lutheran School Wagga Wagga was established in 1982 by the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wagga Wagga to provide a mission avenue for the church while at the same time providing excellence in education. It continues to foster a strong relationship with the congregation. The Lutheran School Wagga Wagga Board invites application from suitably qualified candidates for the important educational leadership position of Principal, commencing Term 3 2024 (negotiable start date). This is an ongoing position on a five year contract. As Principal you will lead the school community in developing and shaping a shared vision on providing quality educational experiences and learning outcomes for all students while nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and key stakeholders. </p><p>The successful applicant will be an experienced Christian leader with a proven record in education and a commitment to excellence, and be an active Christian (preference will be given to communicant members of the Lutheran Church of Australia). </p><p>Applicants should contact positions&#64;levnt.edu.au for a detailed information package, which includes a Position Description, Key Selection Criteria, and the procedure involved to apply for this position.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Mandatory Criteria </b></p><p>The successful applicant must: </p><ol><li>Be an active member of a Christian congregation;</li><li>Be accredited to lead a Lutheran School as outlined by Lutheran Education Australiapolicy, or be prepared to acquire accreditation;</li><li>Have proven senior experience in teaching, educational leadership and administration;</li><li>Hold or be eligible for teacher registration in New South Wales.</li></ol><p>Key Selection Criteria (<i>must be specifically addressed in the written application</i>).</p><ol><li>Demonstrated commitment and ability to lead and nurture a Christian school as evidenced by personal faith, regular worship, and concern for students, staff, parents, volunteers and friends of the School.</li><li>Effective leadership experience, with evidence of superior and effective interpersonal and communication skills which would engage the school and wider communities.</li><li>Ability to think strategically and plan and lead a complex school effectively with a proven capacity to work collegially with governance and senior leadership.</li><li>Commitment to quality education, with clear evidence of facilitating effective teaching and learning.</li><li>Ability to lead and oversee the financial sustainability of the School.</li></ol>
