We are seeking expressions of interest for the position of HSC Presiding Officer, the successful candidate would be a well organised person with good attention to details, who can manage a small team of supervisors as well as the HSC students.

<h4>HSC Presiding Officer </h4><p>Oran Park Anglican College is a rapidly growing school located in the fastest growing area of Southwest Sydney. The College has modern purpose-built facilities and will cater for a population of over 1000 students Prep – Year 12 in 2024. We are seeking expressions of interest for the position of HSC Presiding Officer for 2024 and beyond. </p><h5>Primary Purpose </h5><p>The HSC Presiding officer is responsible directly to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for the effective conduct of the HSC examinations at the College. The successful applicant will liaise with the Director of Studies and will be responsible for managing the supervision of the HSC Examinations following the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) policies and procedures. This will include managing a small team of supervisors for the duration of the HSC Examinations. </p><h5>Major Responsibilities </h5><p>The Presiding Officer is responsible for: </p><ul><li>managing supervisors</li><li>maintaining confidentiality of all exam conduct</li><li>coordinating set up of exam areas</li><li>following all security and administrative procedures</li><li>following all child protection, emergency evacuation and workplace health and safety procedures and policies; and ensure all supervisors adhere to these policies. </li></ul><p>A more detailed role description is available on the last page of this document. </p><h5>Essential Criteria </h5><p>The 2024 HSC Examinations will take place from October 15 to November 8. Essential criteria for this role include: </p><ul><li>having a current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) clearance for employment</li><li>having an email address and mobile number</li><li>use a vehicle with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance policy</li><li>be available for the <b>ENTIRE</b> exam period. </li><li>have intermediate working knowledge of common computer programs and tasks, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, emails, downloading documents etc</li><li>be well-organised</li><li>have good attention to detail</li><li>be able to effectively manage students and a team of supervisors. </li></ul><h5>Desirable Criteria </h5><ul><li>Previous experience as a Presiding HSC Officer.</li></ul><p><b><i>Restrictions on eligibility for employment as a Presiding Officer </i></b></p><p>A person <b>CANNOT</b> be nominated for the position of Presiding Officer if: </p><ul><li>they have a child or near relative (including grandchildren, nieces, nephews or first cousins) sitting the HSC exams this year at any school</li><li>They are/were recently employed by the school (paid or volunteer) and may be perceived as a conflict of interest.
