Early Learning Centre is an approved Long Day Care service fully owned and operated by Marrara Christian College, a college which caters for students from Transition to Year Twelve and is overseen by NT Christian Schools. Marrara Early Learning Centre caters for children from 3 to 5 years.

<p>NT Christian Schools is a Christian organisation. It exists to advance the Christian religion through the provision of education and religious instruction. Accordingly, in furtherance of the religious ethos of NT Christian Schools all staff will be required to deliver or contribute to religious studies, to lead or otherwise assist in the conduct of religious services and otherwise engage in religious practices and observances (including, but not limited to, leading prayers<br>or devotions and sharing testimonies), either with fellow staff or students. As representatives of NT Christian Schools, it is a genuine occupational qualification of such roles that applicants hold and act consistently with the religious beliefs of NT Christian Schools, including as articulated in the Company's Policies of NT Christian Schools.<br>NT Christian Schools exists to provide a thoroughly Christian education and to give effective witness to the biblically-based religious beliefs of the Company. As such, holding the religious beliefs of NT Christian Schools as articulated in the Company's Policies is a genuine occupational qualification of this role. You are expected to have a clear understanding of, and unqualified commitment to the biblical basis, including as articulated in the Company's Policies of NT Christian Schools, and to act both in the work place and in other contexts in ways that are consistent with those<br>beliefs, in order to provide an authentic Christian witness. This role requires the Early Learning Centre Director to practice, deliver and contribute to religious education in a manner that is consistent with the Policies and Procedures of NT Christian Schools and to model a life consistent with those beliefs. As such, this role requires the highest commitment to the Lord and the Bible. This includes, participating in and leading staff devotions and leading student devotions and prayer time and through the sharing of your personal testimony. In addition, staff offer a reflection of their own growing relationship with Christ, which is itself affirmed by living a life consistent with the teaching of the word of God.<br> <br> Accordingly, the modelling of an authentic Christian life is a core requirement of the position, reflecting the foundational contribution the position makes to the maintenance of the religious ethos of the school. With a mutual commitment to God through Jesus Christ, staff members ought to serve and love one another as Christ loves them. This also means an acknowledgement that all people are fallible and need to be entirely reliant upon God. The association has expectations of mutual love, service, trust, acceptance, patience, forgiveness and support.<br> <br> <strong>Some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:</strong><br> <br> </p> <ul> <li>Form relationships with children which are comforting and nurturing.</li> <li>Ensure that staff provide a supportive educational environment.</li> <li>Ensure that the children are safe and adequately supervised at all times.</li> <li>Ensure that all staff are aware of children's additional needs/requirements such as dietary restrictions, allergies, etc.</li> <li>Ensure a high standard of hygiene in compliance with procedures and policies.</li> <li>Administer first aid or medication in compliance with procedures and policies.</li> </ul> <p> Compliance of the National Quality Framework (NQF) including the National Law and<br>National Regulations, the Early Years Learning Framework and assessment and quality<br>rating process.<br> Work according to the Code of Ethics of Early Childhood Australia and NT Christian<br>Schools' Code of Conduct and NT Child Protection legislation.<br> Provide leadership and management to educators and staff regarding all aspects of the<br>operation of the service in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures.<br> Liaise closely with and provide periodical reports to the Early Learning Operations<br>Manager and Approved Provider regarding matters relating to the operation of the<br>service.<br> Support educators and staff with professional training and mentoring to effectively<br>manage the service, whilst providing feedback regarding performance on a regular<br>systematic basis.<br> Keep abreast of contemporary perspectives and research in Early Childhood Education<br>and Care.<br> Ensure the efficient storage of resources and aid staff to ensure the work place is<br>administratively efficient.<br> <br>  Liaise with relevant Head of School/College Principal to enable a smooth transition for<br>children and families, and participation in the wider College community.<br> <br> Children - Key Tasks<br> Ensure each child's health and physical activity is supported and promoted.<br> Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to ensure the children are safe and<br>adequately supervised at all times.<br> Ensure all educators and staff are aware of and respond positively and consistently<br>to children's additional needs including adjustments and requirements; diet and<br>allergies; developmental needs etc.<br> Ensure respectful and equitable relationships are maintained with each child.<br> Support each child to be supported to build and maintain sensitive and responsive<br>relationships.<br> Report serious incidents to the regulatory authority within 24 hours in accordance<br>with Education and Care Services National Regulations.<br> <br> Educational Program - Key Tasks<br> Ensure the Centre facilitates a play-based learning environment and develops<br>learning programs responsive to children's ideas, strengths and abilities that inspire<br>independent learners.<br> Monitor and support the Education Leader to facilitate the successful planning,<br>implementation and evaluation of the early childhood program in line with the Early<br>Years Learning Framework.<br> Implement inclusive practices for all children.<br> Initiate and facilitate with the development, implementation and review of a service<br>philosophy and facilitate the development, implementation and update of the<br>Quality Improvement Plan for the Centre in collaboration with the Early Learning<br>Operations Manager and Educational Leader.<br> Design the facilities and learning environments to be inclusive, promotes<br>competence and supports exploration and play-based learning.<br> <br> Staff Members - Key Tasks<br> Ensure staffing arrangements enhance children's learning and development.<br> Facilitate professionalism and manage collaborative, respectful and ethical<br>communication amongst management, educators and staff.<br> Demonstrate strong leadership skills in education and management to effectively<br>manage the team.<br> Convene and lead staff meetings, family meetings and management meetings as<br>required.<br> Conduct new staff review process and regular staff appraisals, support development<br>plans which will extend educators and staff abilities and practices.<br>Families and Community - Key Tasks<br> Support and develop relationships with families which are respectful and families<br>are supported in their parenting role.<br> </p>
