The College is a flagship college of best practice in education for the Catholic community of the region: a unique, innovative educational environment where every student can flourish.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an energetic and motivated College Maintenance Officer, capable of working independently as part of a friendly and professional team.</p> <p>The successful applicant will work closely with the Business Manager to support the daily running of the College and the maintenance of the College Buildings and Grounds.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage the online reporting system for Maintenance issues, working with the Business Manager to establish priorities.</li> <li>Maintains the cleanliness of the College building and grounds on a daily basis.</li> <li>Set up for school functions, assemblies, Masses etc. working closely with relevant members of staff.</li> <li>Unlock and lock the building and bike sheds each day.</li> <li>Assist the Business Manager to manage contractors when on site.</li> <li>Is responsible for receiving deliveries and delivering them to the appropriate people.</li> <li>Carry out regular compliance checks on specialised equipment, such as dust extractors, as required.</li> <li>Report any risks identified to the Business Manager.</li> <li>Assist with administrative tasks such as updating asset registers as required.</li> <li>Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with staff, students, and parents.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <div> <ul> <li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture</li> <li>Attractive renumeration and access to salary packaging</li> <li>Interesting work designed around your skill set</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>Essential Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Skilled tradesperson with qualifications or relevant experience.</li> <li>A current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card.</li> <li>A sound knowledge of WHS requirements in an education setting.&nbsp;</li> <li>Physical fitness capable of undertaking manual tasks associated with the role.&nbsp;</li> <li>Effective organisational skills with the ability to be flexible and to work under pressure a times.&nbsp;</li> <li>Self-Motivation, good judgement and the ability to show initiative.&nbsp;</li> <li>Processional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a&nbsp; range of people including staff, students visitors and contractors.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the position duties, criteria, and skill set required.&nbsp;</em></p> <div> <p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p> </div> <div> <p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes, and experience as outlined in the Position Description.&nbsp;</p> </div> <div> <p>This position involves working with children.
