We welcome applications from suitable candidates from all diversity groups to support our system of schools and early learning centres in delivering quality education outcomes for the students in our care.</p> <p><strong>About the Role<br><br></strong>The position of&nbsp;Early Learning Centre Director, known internally as ELC Teacher Director, within a CECG Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a unique and exciting opportunity! In this role, the successful candidate will use their qualifications and years of experience to lead the operational and strategic management <br>of one of our nine established and highly regarded ELCs within Canberra. <br><br>The ideal candidate will have a passion for early education and care legislation regulations and pedagogy and a strengths-based approach to working with children, families, and colleagues. They will promote our strong culture of educational excellence and inclusion to encourage continuous improvement.<br><br><strong>Employee Benefits</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Permanent contract.</li> <li>Attractive remuneration package, access to salary packaging, and novated leasing.</li> <li>24 weeks of maternity leave and up to 14 weeks of parental leave (commencing 1 January 2024).</li> <li>Professional development and subsidised training opportunities.</li> <li>Access to free parking.</li> <li>Laptop and mobile phone provided.</li> <li>Positive and collaborative workplace culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead, motivate, and mentor the preschool teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for our children and families.</li> <li>Support preschool educators to deliver on requirements of the NQF, including National Quality Standards (NQS) and compliance with laws, regulations, approved learning frameworks, and CECG policies, procedures, and requirements.</li> <li>Support teachers and educators to plan and implement high-quality, responsive early learning programs which are based on a sound knowledge of early childhood development and educational principals to meet the needs of groups and individual children.</li> <li>Proven and effective leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality educational and care programs for groups of preschool-age children.</li> <li>Provide support, mentorship, and educational leadership for staff to enhance and develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and NQS standards.</li> <li>Identify risks and non-compliance in preschool to ensure the preschool implements actions to resolve and prevent the re-occurrence of incidents.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>ACECQA recognised university qualification in Early Childhood Teaching</li> <li>Working with Children Registration</li> <li>TQI Registration (or willingness to obtain)</li> <li>ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma certifications</li> <li>Current Driver’s License</li> </ul> <p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated understanding of current early education and care legislation regulations and pedagogy including the EYLF and Reggio Emilia approach.</li> <li>Leadership or management experience in early education and care is desirable</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in managing stakeholder engagement, with effective interpersonal and communication skills</li> <li>Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to undertake research and resolve matters as they arise.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applicants must submit a current resume and cover letter addressing the abovementioned selection criteria.
