<p><b>About the College </b></p><p>Marist College Eastwood has seen an increase in enrolment in the last five years. With an increased cohort, a broader subject selection and therefore the creation of more teaching and learning roles, the College is preparing for an innovative future. </p><p> </p><p>Through collaborative work and community consultation the Marist College Eastwood Strategic Implementation Plan was developed. With a deliberate focus on student achievement, teaching and learning methodology, school wellbeing, faith development and school resourcing programs, we aspire to attract candidates who will help bring about for our students A Daring Faith and Dynamic Education Developing Strong Minds and Gentle Hearts.<br /></p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria <br /></b></p><p>The successful applicant will be a highly effective teacher who demonstrates the following: </p><ul><li>Commitment to the Catholic Church and a strong sense of faith.<br /></li><li>Have a capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools. </li><li>Qualified to teach Mathematics. </li><li>Be able to demonstrate differentiated pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning. </li><li>Demonstrated understanding of effective classroom management techniques to promote a supportive and positive learning environment. </li><li>Capacity to plan and deliver engaging lessons that integrate evidence-based practices to maximise learning outcomes for students with diverse learning needs. </li><li>Be willing to undertake continued professional development and faith formation. </li><li>Support the College’s scholastic initiatives and promote its innovation in light of the Strategic Plan. </li><li>Be prepared to undertake leadership mentoring and training from peers and develop and demonstrate strong professional relationships with colleagues. </li></ul><p> The successful applicant will be required to hold and maintain a valid Working With Children Check from the Office of the Children’s Guardian.</p><p>The application letter will need to reflect the key selection criteria for the position.
