<p>Our Lady of Mercy College (OLMC), Parramatta is a leading Catholic independent school for girls established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1889. The College is located within a dynamic educational precinct in North Parramatta.<br /><br />The College is seeking a full time permanent Leader of Accreditation and Professional Learning. The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Professional Learning programs of the College that result in improved teacher practices that, in turn, improve student academic outcomes. This is a Teacher (Band 1-3) + Leadership Level 2 position with substantial release time.<br /><br />The successful applicant will lead and manage the professional learning of College teaching staff in alignment with the OLMC Parramatta strategic plan. You will research, develop and implement strategies and programs that are innovative, evidence-based and lead to teachers' development to better support the needs of students, and that are aligned with and meet NESA and ISTAA accreditation requirements.</p> <p><br /><br /><strong>Essential Criteria</strong><br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>Experience in leading teaching staff through NESA and ISTAA accreditation</li> <li>Experience applying data analysis and research to the developing and implementation of innovative programs</li> <li>Experience in building trusting relationships</li> <li>Evidence of contributing to the improvement of team culture and teaching practices</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, communication, administrative, organisational and collaborative working skills</li> <li>Relevant tertiary qualifications to teach in NSW and a current WWCC</li> <li>Willingness to actively support and participate in the life of the College, and the Catholic mission and Mercy values of the College</li> <li>Willingness to participate in the co-curricular life of the College (noting that there are no weekend sporting commitments)</li> </ul> <p><strong><br /></strong><br /><br /><strong>Why work at OLMC Parramatta?</strong><br /><br /></p> <ul> <li>The College pays for staff parking in Parramatta Leagues Club (one block away)</li> <li>You will be a member of a professional and dynamic educational team</li> <li>You are in walking distance of coffee, food and retail shops</li> <li>Morning tea is provided every day, with regular whole-staff events</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><br /></strong> <strong>Please note:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Applications should be addressed to Ms Lucie Farrugia, Principal, OLMC</li> <li>Interviews may proceed as applications are submitted, and the College reserves the right to appoint an applicant to the role prior to the closing date.</li> <li>Rigorous pre-employment screening will be conducted for preferred candidates including NESA accreditation, WWCC, approved subject areas and reference checks.</li> </ul>
