<p>The NSW Coptic Orthodox Board of Education (BoE) invites you to join the vibrant community at St Mary and St Mina&#39;s Coptic Orthodox College as it looks to place a dynamic leader to serve as Head of College. </p><p>Located across two campuses in the St George area (Rockdale and Bexley), the K –12 College is renowned for fostering excellence in all pursuits, both intellectually and spiritually. The vision of the College is: </p><p>“To enrich our children with Christian teachings founded upon the Coptic Orthodox faith, becoming value-driven Australian citizens, connected as one body with unique gifts”. </p><p>Immersed in a rich tradition which dates back to the first century, the College has evolved into a thriving co-educational learning community that provides exceptional education and cultivates personal growth in every student through the use of their God given talents. </p><p>The successful applicant will be an inspiring leader who will build upon the College’s strong foundations and explore new opportunities for innovation and growth. With a focus on student success and community engagement, the Head of College will play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter of the College’s legacy. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria: </b></p><p>The successful candidate will demonstrate: </p><ul><li>Values that uphold the teaching, faith and ethos of the Coptic Orthodox Church. </li><li>An ability to liaise closely with an Executive Team made up of the Head of Primary, Head of Secondary and the CFO. </li><li>Educational leadership to manage change successfully and deliver continuous improvement. </li><li>A track record of building and mentoring highly effective teams. </li><li>Skills to develop, review and deliver College strategy and operational plans. </li><li>Ability to motivate and engage staff, students, and parents to ensure a climate of support and high expectations. </li><li>Experience in integrating and enabling technology for learning and using data to track and improve student performance. </li><li>Exposure to implementing Wellbeing policies and programmes. </li><li>Preparedness to play an active role in the College&#39;s religious program and ethos. </li><li>Experience in leading professional learning and performance management of staff. </li><li>Effective management and monitoring of all school administration and operations. </li><li>Excellent communication skills in a range of formal and informal settings. </li><li>Extensive teaching experience, preferably in an independent, co-educational school. </li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>The ideal candidate for the Head of College position must possess suitable academic qualifications along with a distinguished record of teaching and demonstrated leadership capabilities.</li><li> As a benchmark, the successful applicant should hold, at minimum, an undergraduate degree in Education or a Master of Education qualification with a focus on Educational Leadership (preferred). </li><li>The Head of College must be registered with NESA or an Australian interstate equivalent. </li><li>Eligibility/ Other Requirements: </li><li>A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Head or Deputy Head of College. </li><li>A current Working with Children Check is required. </li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Terms of Employment: </b></p><p>The terms of employment include a competitive remuneration package tailored to the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
