font-size: 12pt"><strong>About the Role</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt">St John the Apostle Primary School is currently seeking to appoint a Janitor/Groundsperson.&nbsp;The Janitor/Groundsperson will support the school in ensuring that the school’s grounds, buildings, and equipment are well maintained, well presented, physically secure, compliant with all appropriate regulations and provide a safe environment for the school community.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Buildings</span></strong></em></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Security of buildings, checking the safety of the grounds and equipment and attending to the opening and closing of school gates and pedestrian signs</span></li> </ul> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Repairs and General Maintenance</span></strong></em></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintaining school buildings/grounds in a tidy manner and reporting items and equipment needing repair.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Replacing light globes/lamps/tubes, performing handyperson repairs and minor carpentry and minor plumbing - not requiring a tradesperson.</span></li> </ul> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Gardens and grounds</span></strong></em></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintenance of grounds including, mowing, spraying of weeds, using a blower vacuum, trimming trees and hedges, planting and other duties associated with general lawn and garden maintenance.</span></li> </ul> <p><em><strong><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Delivering received parcels, boxes and incoming supplies to the proper offices and classrooms.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Relocating school furniture when required.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 12pt;
