Whilst largely having a curriculum focus, the Assistant Religious Education Coordinator will have responsibility for helping to take forward the evangelising mission of the Church through coordinating Social Justice initiatives. </p><p>The Assistant Religious Education Coordinator will ensure that the Religious Education Faculty is meeting its requirements in the area of compliance, by making sure that the registration of units is complete and that accurate records of student marks are maintained. The Assistant REC will also contribute to reviewing and updating teaching programs as required. </p><p>The Assistant Religious Education Coordinator will take an active role in assisting with the preparation of College Masses, other Liturgies and promote the prayer life of the College and perform other duties as required. </p><p>Applications are invited from talented Religious Education teachers for the position of full-time Assistant Religious Education Coordinator (1 point) commencing in Term 2, 2024. To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate proven experience in: </p><ul><li>creating a faith community that brings the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church to all the students, families and staff </li><li>creating a contemporary, student-centred learning culture </li><li>initiating and leading change and improvement to enhance learning for all students, especially in Religious Education </li><li>working strategically, with an understanding of the school within the broader educational, ecclesial and community context </li><li>developing collaborative partnerships to support student and staff faith journey, learning and well-being, especially in the context of evangelization. </li></ul><p><b>You will also possess the following qualifications / experiences: </b></p><p>Category D Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead in systemic Catholic schools Archdiocese of Sydney Accreditation.
