<p>A fixed term full-time parental leave cover opportunity has become available for a qualified Psychologist at our Maidstone Campus commencing in August 2024. </p><p>We&#39;re seeking individuals who possess a genuine passion for helping others, a drive to make a difference, and enabling every student to flourish and achieve their full potential. Our preference is to engage a School Psychologist; however, we are open to considering a Social Worker or a Behavior Therapist. </p><p>At MacKillop Education, we cater for students who are disengaged, or at risk of disengaging, from education. MacKillop Education, informed by our Catholic ethos and values, is committed to equity and access to learning for all children and young people. </p><p>To be successful in the role, you will be experienced in implementing both individual and group support interventions. You will also provide a proactive service that delivers positive educational outcomes for vulnerable children, adolescents, and their families. </p><p>As a member of the Local Leadership Team, you will be a part of a dedicated team that works cohesively and will work with all functions in the school. </p><p>Experience working with vulnerable people who present with social, emotional and or cognitive differences is preferred. </p><p><b>Our Offer: </b></p><ul><li>Generous salary and leave entitlements in line with the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022. </li><li>Salary packaging up to $18,500 (helps increase your take home pay). </li><li>Discounted workplace health and fitness program available to you and your family. </li><li>Paid on-site training that contributes to your professional development. </li><li>Free local parking </li><li>Regular supervision. </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – free and confidential counselling, coaching and emotional support for work and personal challenges. </li></ul><p>Click <a href="https://www.mackillop.org.au/careers/working-at-mackillop" rel="nofollow">HERE </a>to find out more about becoming a member of the MacKillop Family Services team and what further support we have to offer our employees. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Current registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) – Psychologist only </li><li>Psychology qualification (Master or Doctorate level) preferred, or a relevant degree in Social Work or Counselling. </li><li>Experience in an educational setting is desirable. </li><li>Practice knowledge relevant to working with traumatised and vulnerable children, young people, and families such as: child development and the impact of trauma; including the ability to provide therapeutic clinical assessment and trauma informed interventions. </li><li>A well-developed understanding of Attachment and Trauma Theories, their relationship to child abuse and neglect, and an ability to assist others to understand their associated implications. </li></ul><p><i>For a full listing please view the attached Position Description.
