It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2024. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.&nbsp; As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis is entering its 7th Stage of Building Development and offers state-of-the-art learning &amp; specialist KLA facilities</p> <p>A permanent full time position commencing 29 April 2024 (start date negotiable). &nbsp;The successful applicant will be required to teach Religious Education (Years 7-10), Studies of Religion (Stage 6) and/or Studies in Catholic Thought (Stage 6). The role of the Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li>Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li>Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li>Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in SOR/SICT and Religious Education.</li> <li>Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching Stage 6 Studies of Religion (1 &amp; 2 Unit courses).</li> </ul> <p>GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).</li> <li>Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with <strong>To Work, Teach and Lead</strong> policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li>The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.&nbsp;</p> <p>POSITION APPLICATION</p> <p>Applicants are to complete an online application that asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p> <p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p> <p><strong>Closing date: 10 April 2024 at 9am</strong></p>
