<p>Wenona is seeking a Geography Teacher to join our vibrant HSIE Team. This role will focus on providing students the skills and knowledge to understand the essential life skills that Geography can provide. The Geography teacher will work closely and collaboratively with the HSIE Department. There will also be leadership opportunities to take on Acting Head of Department. </p><h5>Key priorities for the role include: </h5><ul><li>Teaching Geography to Stages 4 to 6 students. </li><li>Implementing the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle. </li><li>Understanding contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies. </li><li>Committing to the Pastoral Care and considering the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students. </li><li>Continuing your professional learning and making a contribution to the broader education community. </li><li>An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women. </li><li>A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team and faculty of professional educators. </li><li>Utilising ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom. </li></ul><p>This is a temporary, full-time position for 12 months, until the end of Term 2, 2025. The role requires excellent communication skills, especially engaging with all stakeholders including students, parents and staff. You should also have the desire and passion to engage a variety of Geography student within the classroom.
