<p>Hospitality Teacher – Full time permanent </p><p>Permanent full time position 2024 commencing as soon as practical </p><p>St Gabriel’s School, Castle Hill is an exciting and innovative K-12 Special Education setting for students with a primary diagnosis of a mild to moderate intellectual disability. The candidate will have strengths that contribute to our dynamic team that has high expectations of students. New graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported through an internal professional learning program. </p><p>Essential Criteria </p><p>Qualifications and experience in teaching the TVET Hospitality Course </p><p>Sound knowledge of special education evidence-based practices and pedagogy; </p><p>Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing; </p><p>Accredited at or working towards Proficient Level through NESA; </p><p>An ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons; </p><p>Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; </p><p>Sound technology skills including the use of interactive whiteboards and iPads; </p><p>Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships; </p><p>Collaborative team member; </p><p>An ability to organise and direct learning support officers; </p><p>Willingness to uphold the Catholic and Edmund Rice ethos of the School; </p><p>Commitment to the School’s Vision and Mission, Strategic Goals and the EREA Charter Touchstones; </p><p>Excellent organisational skills. </p><p>Current Working with Children Check </p><p>Australian Citizen, permanent resident or a valid visa with full working rights in Australia. </p><p>Desirable Criteria: </p><p>Experience in working with students with a range of disabilities; </p><p>Experience and/or qualifications in the area of Special Education; </p><p>Holding a Light Rigid Licence or willingness to drive a 12-seater school van. </p><p>Extra Benefits of Working at St Gabriel’s </p><p>St Gabriel’s is a Public Benevolent Institution.
