The Diverse Education SSO is accountable to the Diverse Education Teacher for assisting teaching staff in the conduct of special education programs and individualised plans by undertaking basic para-professional, classroom support activities, and personal care tasks to achieve access to, and success in, all areas of schooling for students with identified learning difficulties or disabilities.

<p> </p><div>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and innovative people with a Christian worldview for the following position commencing as soon as possible.</div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div><b>SSO – Diverse Education </b></div><div><b>Commencing immediately 2024 (up to 37.5 hours a week) </b></div><div><b>Available to work at Morphett Vale Campus</b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div><b> </b></div><div>The successful applicants will: </div><div>• have skills, experience and passion in working with individual or small groups of students experiencing difficulties. </div><div>• have a certificate 3 or 4 in Educational support as a minimal qualification. </div><div>• have experience working with Primary and High School students. </div><div>• have good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships. </div><div>• provide personal care for students with physical disabilities i.e. following Continence Care Plans, supervision eating, occasional manual handling. </div><div>• prepare, manage and set up the teaching resources. </div><div>• support students in the daily class program. </div><div>• support the implementation and evaluation of class programs for the students. </div><div>• collaborate effectively within the Diverse Education Team. </div><div>• respect and support colleagues, families, and students through positive communication. </div><div>• actively ensure the ongoing provision of quality teaching for students with disabilities and additional educational needs. </div><div>• assist students to successfully participate in camps and excursions. </div><div><br /></div><div>Application documents and the position description for this position can be downloaded from our website: http://svcc.sa.edu.au/college/employment </div><div>Applications close 26 April 2024 </div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
