<p><b>The Opportunity </b></p><p>Proactive and organised individuals, strongly committed to the ethos and practices of Catholic Education and who possess a genuine desire to support the holistic development of young people, are encouraged to apply for this outstanding part time (45 hours per fortnight) Teacher Assistant – Food Technology opportunity at St Patrick’s College. If you’re someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative environment, is highly organised and has an interest in food and nutrition, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. </p><p>As a Teacher Assistant – Food Technology you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth delivery of education programs, specifically within the Food Technology area. This will include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of Food Technology teaching areas and equipment, preparing and assisting with practical and demonstration classes and ordering, receiving and storing food stock. </p><p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018. </p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>As a Teacher Assistant – Food Technology you will: </p><ul><li>Have a passion for education and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learning experience in the field of Food Technology; </li><li>Possess a strong understanding of food preparation, safety and hygiene practices and your eager to share your knowledge with students; </li><li>Experience in working in the food industry and/or education sector; </li><li>Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple tasks; </li><li>Be adaptable and can handle unexpected challenges with a positive attitude, ensuring that educational activities run smoothly; </li><li>Ability to effectively interact and maintain professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader College community. </li></ul><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
