St Declan’s Catholic Primary School is seeking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer. The successful candidate will support students with diverse learning needs, with a focus on maximising student engagement and learning.

<p>This is a temporary position for the 2024 school year, commencing the week starting 13 May.</p><p><br /></p><p>We seek applicants who have a passion to encourage and engage young minds in a love of learning through a supportive and inclusive environment, supporting the school&#39;s Vision for Learning, &#39;ENGAGE, CREATE, COLLABORATE&#39;.</p><p><b><u>Primary Duties: </u></b></p><ul><li>Provide in-class learning support for identified students with diverse learning needs. </li><li>Provide small group withdrawal support for identified students, under the direction of the Diverse Learning Coordinator and classroom teachers.</li><li>Carry out a wide variety of tasks associated with classroom learning experiences (e.g. assisting teachers in preparing, implementing and supervising learning programs, activities and tasks).</li><li>Accompany students on excursions and other external activities when required.</li><li>Complete administrative duties including maintaining records, photocopying and data entry.</li></ul><p><b><u>Essential Criteria </u></b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education.</li><li>Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>An ability to work collaboratively to maximise student learning.</li></ul><p><u><b>Desirable Criteria: </b></u></p><ul><li>Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs </li><li>Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Education Support)</li></ul><p><br /></p> <p><br /></p>
