The Towards 2025 Strategy commits our system of schools to being at least as good as the very best, to maximise the learning growth of every student, and to inspire hearts and minds to know Christ and love learning. </p><p>Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 45 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>The role of the Wellbeing for Learning Partner is to provide expert professional advice, consultation support to Broken Bay systemic school leadership teams, that builds their capacity to support students and teachers with behavioural, social emotional, and mental health difficulties. </p><p>The role supports schools to implement whole school evidence-based practices that maximise student wellbeing and learning outcomes. The focus of this role is to build frameworks, best practice guidelines and policies to support behavioural management across the CSBB system. </p><p>This role requires a skilled educator or educational leader, who has expertise in managing student behaviour and wellbeing for learning principles and practices. </p><p>This is a temporary, full-time role for 18-months based at Pennant Hills.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Provides subject matter expertise in behaviour management and system-wide wellbeing for learning frameworks, practices, and approaches</li><li>Assists in case management of students with complex behaviour that can pose significant risk to ensure engagement with learning</li><li>Collaborates and seeks advice as required from Student Wellbeing Partners about complex student behaviour/mental health cases such as, cognitive, emotional, and behavioural assessments, mental health screeners, and referrals to and liaison with outside agencies</li><li>Develops and implements consistency and commonality in care, student/behaviour management procedures and processes across the system with a focus on learning</li><li>Collaborates with school staff to ensure principles of wellbeing are integrated into various aspects of school life and classroom activities</li><li>Working with school leaders and teachers to ensure consistent review, innovation, evaluation, and implementation in the delivery of student wellbeing for learning services</li><li>Analyses data and supports schools identify and translate data into localised future-focused wellbeing strategies and action plans that enhance student wellbeing and learning</li><li>Provides targeted professional learning and coaching to contribute to building the capacity of school staff in supporting and managing student behaviour and wellbeing</li></ul><p><b>About You </b></p><ul><li>Supportive of, or can demonstrate an understanding and commitment to, the ethos of the Catholic faith in an educational context</li><li>Strong working understanding of current research and practice in student behaviour and wellbeing for learning </li><li>Practical understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, the Australian Professional Standard for Principals, the Australian Teacher Performance and Development Framework and the Australian Charter for Professional Learning of Teachers and School Leaders, and the National School Improvement Tool </li><li>Working understanding of NSW syllabus documents, with subject matter expertise in student wellbeing for learning </li><li>Knowledge of legislation pertaining to school student inclusion and wellbeing (e.g. Disability Discrimination Act, Disability Standards for Education, Child Protection, Part 5A of the Education Act 1990) </li><li>Highly skilled educator with experience in behaviour intervention and prevention and/or has held a pastoral care/wellbeing leadership role in a school/education system</li><li>Can assist with school enrolment and transition support of students with complex wellbeing concerns</li><li>Evidence of effectively leading a successful improvement initiative that improved wellbeing for learning processes and practices resulting in student outcomes</li><li> Experience in using evidence and data analysis to inform best practice initiatives</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications </b></p><ul><li>NESA approved undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Teaching/ Education </li><li>Post-graduate qualification in a related subject area and/or commensurate experience leading student wellbeing programs in an educational context (preferred) </li><li>Accredited to teach in NSW</li><li>Valid Working with Children Check</li><li>Current and valid NSW Driver’s Licence</li></ul><p><b>Benefits of Working with Us </b></p><ul><li>Competitive salary on offer </li><li>Free onsite parking or public transport close by </li><li>25% School Fee Discount for eligible employees </li><li>Annual leave loading and ex-gratia leave at Christmas time </li><li>Salary Packaging for eligible employees </li></ul><p><b>Application Process </b></p><p>Applications should include: </p><ul><li>A cover letter of no more than two pages addressing why you are interested in the role and addressing the criteria listed above</li><li>A current resume</li></ul><p>Applications should be sent directly to <a href="mailto:careers&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">careers&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p> </p><p><b>Applications Close on Monday, April 22, 2024. </b></p><p><b>Enquiries </b></p><p>If you have any enquiries about this role, please email Cassandra at <a href="mailto:careers&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">careers&#64;dbb.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p> </p><p><i>Agencies, please note that unsolicited resumes for this position will not be considered. </i></p><p><i>Catholic Schools Broken Bay promotes a culture of safety and care for children and young people.
