St Clare’s College is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced person for the role of Library Assistant to commence in Term 2. This is a temporary role for the remainder of 2024. The position is 2 days per week (Thursday / Friday) from 8.00am to 4.00pm during term time only.

<p><b>About the role:</b></p><p>This position will primarily provide support to students and teachers with a variety of learning mediums in the College HUB (Library). </p><p>The position is responsible for responding to the many enquiries that come from students in the HUB in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. This position works closely with the HUB Manager and performs a variety of administrative tasks as requested. You will also work closely with the ICT support officer.</p><p><b>Duties include but may not be restricted to:</b></p><ul><li>Supervising the Service / Circulation desk</li><li>Bookings for break out rooms using Compass</li><li>Loaning resources to Students &amp; Teachers</li><li>Processing new library items (labelling / covering etc)</li><li>Using Oliver for general Library duties</li><li>Shelving and tidying books</li><li>Printing / scanning for students and teachers</li><li>Supervision before school, recess / lunch, and after school</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>The Library Assistant must demonstrate the ability to:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Work autonomously with minimal direction to set deadlines and timeframes</li><li>Interact positively with a helpful and cooperative approach to students, staff, external agencies and members of the public</li><li>Learn new software applications where necessary</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Essential Qualifications, Skills &amp; Experience Required:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in administration/professional support in a fast-paced business support setting</li><li>Confident computer literacy especially on the Google platform</li><li>High organisational skills, the capacity to multi-task, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines</li><li>Demonstrate initiative</li><li>A flexible and service orientated approach</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Applicants should send their cover letter and CV including the names and contact details of at least 3 referees to the College Principal, Ms Ann Freeman using the Principal&#39;s Executive Assistant&#39;s email address: <a href="julie.dilger&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">julie.dilger&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p>Successful Applicants must be registered to work with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS.
