<p>St George Preca School is seeking a Year 1 classroom teacher. This is a fixed-term contract position, commencing June 3, 2024. The 2024 enrolment is approx. 720 students from Prep to Grade 6. </p><p>We are seeking a teacher committed to developing their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of the students in their care. </p><p>Applicants must be able to:</p><ul><li>demonstrate a strong commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education </li><li>contribute as a member of a Professional Learning Team, planning and teaching in a collaborative environment focused on continual improvement</li><li>teach effectively to the diverse range of learning needs enriching the learning for all students</li><li>use data to inform teaching</li><li>high-quality teaching practices in Literacy, Numeracy, Religious Education or Inquiry learning</li><li>have the ability to inspire and encourage students with a love of learning</li><li>demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of contemporary learning and teaching</li><li>demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with colleagues, parents, and students</li><li>be committed to personal and professional growth</li><li>have registration (or eligibility) with V.I.T.</li><li>preferably have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School </li></ul><p>Applicants should include a cover letter, resume and three referees, including their current Principal.
