We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Student Wellbeing Support Officer/Chaplain who is keen to join our dynamic school team. The NSWP supports schools to provide a school based role that is recognised as part of the whole school approach to pastoral care.

The St Luke&#39;s school community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. </div><div> </div><div><br /></div><div>The role of the Student Wellbeing Support Officer/Chaplain is vital to the wellbeing of students of our school. The successful candidate will work closely with the Student Wellbeing Leader to ensure all students are given every opportunity to an inclusive education. Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the part-time fixed-term position of Student Wellbeing Support Officer/Chaplain for the remainder of the 2024 school year commencing ASAP.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Key Responsibilities </b></div><ul><li>Facilitate or organise small groups and activities for students around aspects of challenge such as anxiety and social interaction. </li><li>Contribute to improving student attendance, engagement and connectedness. </li><li>Provide pastoral care, support and guidance to students </li><li>Support students to develop positive behaviours, </li><li>Provide students with referrals to external specialist services as required. </li></ul><div><b>What we can offer</b></div><ul><li>Temporary Part-Time Position commencing ASAP - 20th December 2024. </li><li>1 day per week (7.6 hours) or equivalent hours over 2 days</li><li>Salary: Dependent upon qualifications (Averaged - Does not work during school break)</li><li>Potential for extension of contract</li></ul><div><b>Selection Criteria</b><br /></div><ul><li>Experience in supporting a range of student wellbeing needs. </li><li>Capacity to work within a team and an ability to liaise with outside agencies. </li><li>Experience in providing services to improve student engagement and connectedness. </li><li>An ability to provide wellbeing support and specific programs both within and outside of classroom environments. </li><li>Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and staff. </li></ul><div><b>Qualification and Requirements </b></div><div>Applicants must hold a Certificate IV equivalent or higher qualifications that includes competencies in; </div><ul><li>mental health and making appropriate referrals</li><li>providing pastoral care or working with youth </li></ul><div>Qualifications that meet these requirements are: </div><ul><li>Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care (CHC42315 </li><li>Certificate IV in Community Services (CHC42015) </li><li>Certificate IV in Mental Health (CHC43315) </li><li>Certificate IV in Youth Justice(CHC40513) </li><li>Certificate IV in Youth WorkCHC40413) </li><li>an equivalent qualification that includes competencies in mental health and making appropriate referrals. </li></ul><div>The Successful applicant will be subject to the Working with Children check.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
