<p><b>As a Learning Support Officer at St Thomas More, you would be required to:</b></p><p>Provide support to students with additional needs as directed by the classroom teacher</p><p>Work with individual or small groups of children to support learning in literacy and numeracy</p><p>Provide basic physical, social and emotional care for students</p><p>Monitor and provide support for children during play breaks</p><p>Keep records to assist the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process</p><p>Adhere to all Child Safety legislation and St Thomas More Primary School Child Safety requirements.</p><p><b>Suitable applicants will:</b></p><p>Demonstrate an awareness of various learning disabilities and their impact on student learning</p><p>Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</p><p>Demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students </p><p>Have a Certificate III or IV qualification in Educational Support or be working towards a suitable qualification (including a teaching qualification)</p><p>Have a current Working With Children Check</p><p>Be available three days per week from 9am -1:45pm</p><p> </p>
