<p><b>St. Paul’s Primary School is looking to appoint a committed, dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer (LSO) to join our learning community and support our students in 2024.</b></p><p>This is a fixed-term position classified under the 2022 CEMEA as Education Support Category B (dependent on prior experience and skills). The hours of employment for this position will be Monday to Friday- 8:30am - 3:30pm. Part Time applications will be considered.</p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>be working with children supporting student learning under the direction of the classroom teacher and leader.</li><li>work with individual and small groups of students both within and outside of the classroom to assist them with their educational and development programs.</li><li>be able to plan for and implement programs and strategies, supporting students with learning challenges </li><li>document adjustments relating to student&#39;s Individual Learning Plans</li><li>be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic </li><li>have some experience working with students with a diverse range of needs</li><li>display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be flexible, proactive and resourceful </li><li>use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support </li><li>be self motivated and able to work independently if necessary </li><li>be able to build positive relationships with children and assist in creating learning environments where all are valued and challenged </li><li>demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students </li><li>be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement</li><li>be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic education system</li></ul><h4>Special Requirements: </h4><div>Applicants must have: </div><ol><li>Working With Children Check </li><li>Current Police Check </li><li>Current First Aid qualifications </li><li>Certificate lll and/or Certificate lV in Education Support</li></ol><div><br /></div><h5><p></p></h5>
