<p>Redeemer Lutheran School is an innovative and well-resourced School and Early Learning Centre, with outstanding facilities and an excellent reputation for delivering a contemporary and internationally accredited education program for children and families in the Barossa Valley region. </p><p><b>About the Role:  </b>The Maintenance and Grounds Person works under the general direction and guidance of the Business Manager, to support the operational requirements of the School by being responsible for all aspects of the development, maintenance and presentation of all buildings, facilities, playgrounds, sporting fields, gardens and general grounds for use by the school community, including visitors, parents, students and staff; and to actively promote a good first impression of the school to the community.</p><p>This role will have duties and responsibilities that include: </p><p>• general building and facilities maintenance and repairs; </p><p>• equipment and machine maintenance; </p><p>• turf and garden maintenance; </p><p>• general grounds maintenance. </p><p>• landscaping tasks; </p><p>• sports field marking; and </p><p>• assist with preparation for school events (internal and external venues). </p><p><b>About You: </b>We are seeking a person who has:</p><p>• general trade qualifications or carpentry skills, or experience working in a similar role would be highly advantageous; </p><p>• experience using grounds and maintenance equipment; </p><p>• experience performing general repairs and maintenance tasks; </p><p>• knowledge of safe work practices including manual handling, working at heights, safe handling and storage of chemicals, and safe use and maintenance of plant; </p><p>• excellent organisational and time management skills; and </p><p>• a positive mindset and flexibility to deal with a constantly changing school environment. </p><p>This position commences as soon as possible, or negotiated date.
