<p><strong>Service Desk Officer<br>Catholic Education, Diocese of Bathurst<br></strong><strong>Full-time, temporary leave coverage position<br>Salary starting from $69,810.00 plus super (based on experience)</strong></p> <p><strong><br>About the Role<br></strong>The Service Desk Officer role will provide effective support, administration and management of school and office-based ICT systems, policies and procedures while working closely within CEDB teams.</p> <p>The Service Desk Officer’s day-to-day may consist of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Providing support to staff and students for their learning and teaching needs.</li> <li>Enhancing the vision of ICT Services as a service provider for schools.</li> <li>Promoting self-sufficiency and efficiency through empowering users with ICT services.</li> <li>Monitoring and managing tickets, ensuring effective reporting and continual service improvement</li> <li>Gathering user feedback to innovate and improve services</li> <li>Participating in ICT initiatives</li> <li>Providing training for applications, systems, and equipment as needed</li> </ul> <p>The position description can be found <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KYeoY_L06yQMcxikE84BJyXlTljGhSFh/view?usp=sharing">here</a>.</p> <p><strong>About You (Selection Criteria)<br></strong>The new Service Desk Officer will support the CEDB’s success by meeting the following selection criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Well-developed written and interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills.</li> <li>An understanding of user roles, groups and permissions.</li> <li>Experience in supporting platforms including Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, iOS and Google ChromeOS.</li> <li>Experience supporting a Google Workspace environment.</li> <li>Support of network-based printers and photocopiers.</li> <li>General Audio-Visual experience across projectors, displays, audio and PA systems.</li> <li>A willingness to support the mission and purpose of Catholic education within the Bathurst Diocese</li> </ul> <p><strong><br>About Our Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Temporary contract with the potential for ongoing employment</li> <li>Work-life balance with a 35-hour work week</li> <li>Great opportunity for someone starting their ICT career</li> <li>A chance to work closely with a diverse and experienced ICT team who support one another’s career aspirations</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Us</strong><br>The Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst (CEDB) is responsible for 33 schools, approximately 9,600 students and 1,700 staff.
