<ul><li>Support education done differently </li><li>Expanding independent school </li><li>Townsville location</li></ul><p>Enkindle Village School is an independent school in Townsville which provides students a voice and a choice in their learning through individualised education journeys. </p><p>The school focuses on inspiring their village of learners to learn with liberty, curiosity and joy. They do education a little differently providing an alternative to traditional education with a dynamic approach and real-world learning, guiding students and equipping them with real skills for the future. </p><p>Located on the James Cook University campus, Enkindle currently offers Prep to year 8, increasing 1 year level annually till year 12. Plans have also been approved for the build of a new campus to commence in 2024. </p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>Reporting to the Enkindle Village School Governing Body, the Principal is responsible for leading and managing efficient and effective day-to-day operations as well as setting and advancing culture, climate, and values of the school. They will be responsible for driving agreed strategic change in curriculum, student wellbeing and administration, and for leading, managing, developing and supporting staff. </p><p><b>About YOU </b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced or aspiring Principal who is passionate about dynamic education. This role will suit someone can bring agility, flexibility, and creativity to the role, as well as ensure well developed governance and policies to support the school’s ongoing growth and evolution. </p><p>A well rounded educator, you will ensure all educational programs and operations are in keeping with Enkindle Village School’s Vision, Strategy, Mission, and Values, and are fully compliant with government requirements. </p><p>Student wellbeing will be a key priority for you, leading a safe and positive environment in which every child feels valued and has appropriate access to learning programs for their needs. You will nurture a strong sense of community and foster mutually positive supportive relationships with school families and other key stakeholders. </p><p>You will lead a positive and rewarding climate which enhances staff morale, collegiality, teamwork and enables individual staff members to flourish in their roles and work consultatively and supportively with staff in all areas of Enkindle Village School to promote unity and interconnectedness.</p><p><b>You must have/be:</b></p><ul><li>A qualified teacher registered/able to be registered with the Queensland School of Teachers. </li><li>Successful experience and highly developed leadership and management skills within a school context. </li><li>Proven track record of ensuring successful outcomes for students with a diverse range of needs. </li><li>A strong understanding of current educational practice as it relates to student learning and wellbeing. </li><li>Successful experience in developing and implementing creative approaches/solutions and managing change. </li><li>Proven ability to lead and motivate staff toward high performance. </li><li>A relational approach coupled with high expectations of self, staff, and students. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and to build a cohesive and effective team. </li><li>Highly organised with the capacity to manage a demanding and varied workload. </li><li>Proven strength working openly and collaboratively with upper management/governing body. </li><li>Self-reflective and committed to continual professional learning and growth. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
