The Teacher's Aide provides assistance in the form of support to teachers, individuals and/or groups of students in a classroom setting.

<p><b>Location: </b>Penola Catholic College - Emu Plains</p><p>Penola Catholic College is a Year 7-12 co-educational College centered on quality contemporary learning practices centered on the values of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop.&nbsp;</p> <p>The College requires a teacher’s aide for 60 hours per fortnight, to be worked Monday to Friday each week.&nbsp;</p> <p>Teacher's Aides are accountable for:</p> <p>-Support of the mission, teachings and ethos of the Catholic Church’s work in schools.</p> <p>-Demonstrated ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team</p> <p>-Demonstrated ability to follow direction, prioritise and meet set deadlines</p> <p>-Demonstrated interpersonal skills in working with a range of personnel</p> <p>-Strong planning and organisation skills</p> <p>-Demonstrated ability to maintain the quality of assigned work</p> <p>The successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively with teachers and as part of the Learning Support Team.&nbsp; They will be working with a select group of students only and will have the capacity to:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Support students with additional needs within the classroom context</li> <li>Differentiate / adjust material to enable learners’ access in 1:1 and small group contexts</li> <li>Support student wellbeing within daily routines</li> <li>Support the Learning Support Team in the upkeep of records and documents related to students’ additional needs</li> <li>Support the Learning Support Team in preparation of student profiles and data</li> </ul> <p>The applicant must submit with their application the following:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>A current CV</li> <li>Nominated professional referees, must be two</li> <li>Current Working with Children’s Check</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>The Organisation</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.</p> <p dir="ltr">CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
